Vocus Project Horizon

 
MIRAIT Technologies Australia are thrilled to be announced as the construction partner for Vocus’ Project Horizon. Mirait will provide design and construction services for Project Horizon to complete the 2,000km, 38 Terabit-per-second fibre route in Western Australia.

With deployment scheduled before year-end 2022, Project Horizon will provide the first competitive backbone between Perth and Port Hedland, WA. The route will interconnect with Vocus’ Project Highclere, a new 40Tbps submarine cable between Port Hedland and the Australia Singapore Cable, providing a new level of resiliency and redundancy for Australia’s fibre backbone.

Mirait are extremely pleased to be selected by Vocus as their key delivery partner to design and construct the terrestrial cable infrastructure for Project Horizon. The completion of this crucial link will close the gap in Vocus’ national fibre backbone network.
