Mirait completes Land Cable Duct Route for JGA Cable Project
MIRAIT Technologies Australia is pleased to announce the completion of the Land Cable Duct Route for the Japan-Guam-Australia South subsea cable system (JGA-South). This marks the completion by AARNet of the Sydney shore end work. Alcatel Submarine Cable Networks (ASN)’s cable ship, the Ile de Brehat, will now continue laying the cable north towards Guam, with the completion of JGA South on-track to be completed and ready for service by March 2020.
Mirait designed the 10-kilometre route extending from the Cable Landing Point in NSW at North Narrabeen to the Brookvale Datacentre for AARNet. Construction which commenced in early May was completed in October 2019, on time and on budget.
Mirait has been a supplier of high profile telecommunication infrastructure projects for AARNet since 2006.
