Helicopter Surveys
This year Mirait Technologies Australia completed a groundbreaking remote fiber optic survey in partnership with a leading supplier of optical fiber services in Australia. Spanning from Darwin (NT) to Port Hedland (WA), this ambitious project was conducted by helicopter. The survey's main objective was to identify and address cable exposures caused by erosion along the direct buried fiber route. Given that remote communities heavily rely on these fiber cables for their internet and telephone services, this survey was crucial in ensuring uninterrupted connectivity for these areas. To execute this complex undertaking, Mirait collaborated with HeliSpirit, a renowned company known for its skilled and professional pilots, as well as its top-of-the-line helicopters. The pilots' extensive knowledge of the area played a vital role in the survey's success.
