Mirait completes installation of Fibre Optic Cable for TMR

MIRAIT Technologies Australia has successfully completed the installation of 96-core Fibre Optic Cable for Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) ahead of schedule. TMR relies on the Traffic Management Centre as the primary location for housing critical ITS L3 and application servers. The objective of this project was to install a 96-core Fibre Optic Cable within TMR owned conduits in order to have a dedicated path between the TMC, Nerang (State-wide Traffic Management Centre) and GCLR (Light Rail Depot) facilities. The proposed link will serve as the primary link between the two locations and the old legacy link will act as a back-up. The project, monitored and controlled by Mirait, consisted of 4 distinct stages - conduit proving, civil works, cable installation and commissioning. The project was completed ahead of schedule and on budget.
