Sapphire Wind Farm
The Sapphire Wind Farm consists of 75 Vestas 3.6MW Wind Turbine Generators with a combined maximum rating of 270 MW.
The power generated by the Wind farm has been transformed at the Sapphire single bay 33/330kV substation and connected to Transgrid’s existing 330kV Transmission Line via a Transgrid built switching station located adjacent to the wind farm substation.
The scope of work consisted of the installation of the 33kV Cables, Fibre Optic Cables and Radial Earths between the Substation and Turbines
